Destin Offers Plenty During the Holiday Season

Snowbirds and holiday visitors don’t have to worry about what to do in our beautiful slice of the Emerald Coast during the holiday season. Just enjoying the beach with its white sand and beautiful green water can be quite enough, especially when the temperatures are mild. This great combination allows many outdoor activities, such as riding bikes, playing golf or tennis, or simply strolling on the beach.

You may want to explore the local area while you’re here. Destin has an outstanding fishing museum. The Destin History and Fishing Museum is located at 108 Stahlman Avenue and is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day except Sunday and Monday. DeFuniak Springs and its round lake in the town’s historic district lies a short drive to the north. Henderson Beach State Park in Destin, Grayton Beach State Park in Grayton and Rocky Bayou State Park in Niceville are all short drives away.

Of course, holiday decorations will be everywhere, and stores will beckon you to shop. Destin Commons is not too far east on Highway 98, along with many other shops to explore along the way. You can probably take care of all your Christmas shopping.

When it’s time for the kids to expel some energy take them to swim in two of our heated pools, while you relax and soak up the Florida sun.

There’s no chance you’ll be bored during your visit to Destin and Sandpiper Cove. You can go all you want, but when you get tired, you have a great room with all the amenities you need, including a fully equipped kitchen and the all-important wi-fi. You’ll also have access to a fitness center and a pool.

Sandpiper Cove is the perfect place for a holiday getaway or for Snowbirds to visit for a few months. If you haven’t made a reservation, contact us today.
