32nd Annual Caddyshack Classic Golf Tournament

Harbor Docks Charities will host the 32nd Annual Caddyshack Classic Golf Tournament on Thursday, August 24, at Emerald Bay Golf Course. The tournament is a four-man team charity golf tournament with an entry cost of $500 per team. Proceeds from this tournament will be used to fund the 23rd Annual Take-A-Kid Fishing Day and Destin Harvest projects.

Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation and Trustmark Bank give the Emerald Coast a whole new reason to smile with a special Labor Day Concert in the Village featuring the 10-member Chicago tribute band sensation Make Me Smile.

Make Me Smile features a 10-piece ensemble, which includes 7-piece rhythm section and a three-piece horn section to authentically represent every nuance of each unforgettable Chicago classic hit. Heralded as the ?ultimate? Chicago experience, Make Me Smile features A-lists musicians: Scott Sheriff, Gene Miller, Tom Hemby, Steve Ebe, Scott Kinney, Roy Agee, Jim Hoke, Tim Buppert, Boh Cooper and Gary Lunn.

Get ready to dance down memory lane and groove to many of Chicago?s greatest hits such as: ?Baby, What a Big Surprise,? ?Wishing You Were Here,? ?25 or 6 to 4,? ?Saturday in the Park,? ?Call On Me,? ?Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is,? ?Feelin? Stronger Every Day,? ?If You Leave Me Now,? ?Make Me Smile? and many more.

A limited number of VIP Tables (seating eight) are available for $225. Tables are sold on a first come, first served basis and will sell out. They may be reserved by calling (850) 650-2226 during office hours, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

MKAF will have a drawing of nearly a dozen exciting prizes and packages at intermission. Visit the donation table located near the stage before the concert to enter to win.

Proceeds benefit MKAF and its arts education community outreach programs.
The concert is rain or shine, so no refunds will be provided. Patrons are invited to bring picnics and wine or beer or purchase dinner and drinks (bottled water and soft drinks) on site, but for the comfort of all guests, tables over two-feet long, drones and pets (except service dogs) are not permitted.

2nd Annual Destin Charity Cornhole Tournament

The Destin Commons is hosting the 2nd Annual Destin Charity Cornhole Tournament on Sunday, October 1st at 12:30pm. The tournament is a partnership with Emerald Coast Children?s Advocacy Center (ECCAC) and Cumulus Media with proceeds benefiting ECCAC in Okaloosa and Walton Counties.

The center is seeking cornhole participants for a double elimination tournament. Compliments of World of Beer, participants will enjoy a Beer Garden with bottomless craft beer, Mimosas, Bloody Marys, Belgian pretzels, wings and corndogs. Spectators can also visit the beer garden by purchasing a wristband for $25. In addition, sets of cornhole boards, painted by local artists, will be auctioned off at the event with all proceeds benefitting ECCAC.

Our 10th Annual Sugar Sands Charity Golf Classic will take place October 8th & 9th. The two-day event begins with a pre-registration party at Tommy Bahama Restaurant. On October 9th, lunch and golf will be held at Kelly Plantation Golf Course, followed by an awards dinner and silent auction at Tuscany Italian Bistro in Destin. $250 to play & $1,000 a foursome. Registration also includes: pre-registration party at Tommy Bahama, Tommy Bahama Shirt Voucher, golf & lunch at Kelly Plantation Golf Course as well as a ditty bad, awards and prizes! Only $25 for a guest to attend the pre-registration party and awards dinner.
